New Pass Underwater Cleanup

Divers, Kayakers, Jet Skiers and Topsiders needed and welcome!

Volunteers must register at sarasotabaywatch.org

We will be removing debris and fishing tackle from above and below the water to reduce mammal and bird entanglement and create a healthy habitat.

Meet at the north end of Ken Thompson Park, 1700 Ken Thompson Parkway at 9:00am. 

All volunteers: Please, bring water bottle and dress to get dirty and wet. Must wear closed toed shoes. Community service hours for students!

Divers: Must be certified and bring dive card. You must supply all your own equipment, be comfortable in poor visibility, bring gloves, cutters and lift bags if you have them. 

Jet Skiers: Must supply your own jet ski, space limited to three.

Kayakers: Must supply own kayak, will work to assist divers by moving debris to shore.

Topsiders: Measure, weigh and sort debris. Return captured sea life to the water. Must wear closed toed shoes. Prepare to get dirty!

Sarasota Bay Watch will provide gloves, water, snacks and an opportunity to meet friends and have a great time doing good work! See you there!
